To all pilots who are interested in practical IR(H) course.

You all have asked for further informationen concerning SE-IR training course in the last few weeks ago. We wish you a successful and healthy new year which starts with good news from EASA.

The agency has published decision (EU) 2021/2227 which basically rules as follows:

- instrument ratings for helicopters issued before 30 october 2022 shall be deemed as IR(H) for both SEH and MEH.
- all IR-Training which starts after 30 october 2022 has to comply according to new training programs.

This means basically for you:

  • if you start your training before 30 october 2022 you will receive 45 hours combined FNPT and helicopter training on SEH (in our ATO: B206) and get an IR(H) rating on SEH and MEH

  • If you start your training after 30 october 2022 you need 50 hours combined FNPT and helicopter training on SEH or MEH to get an IR rating

  • the reduced training for SEH/MEH of 5 hours gives a benefit of appr. 4.000,-€ plus VAT if you commence training in time

    We expect a huge amount of enquiries due to the new regulation. We recommend all interested pilots to make a timely decision based on our qoutations of they want to be finished before 30 october 2022. Do also consider, that we have to make SIM slot reservations.
